It was great. I had presents and a walk and best of all Dad, who NEVER gives human food, slipped me some turkey and gravy!

Dinner

Once I was the dog who wouldn't eat. Now I do a little dance while Dad mixes my dinner and try to lick the shine off my bowl. Today I was also caught in the act of attempting to get some of my treats off a high shelf!

Luxury

My little cousins like to play 'babies' with me. I got put to bed with a cuddly toy and my bone and they even sang me a lullaby!

I did successful recalls at 50 feet today so I'm well pleased. Mind you that wasn't when a large hare popped up in front of me. Things went belly up for a couple of minutes! Now Dad's trying to work out how to keep me within 50 feet when I'm eventually allowed off the lead.

Recall

Not nearly as slick as I've been all day but my dinner was waiting for me after all! This is the dog that wouldn't pay attention!

Training update

I'm really pleased. Dad and I had our best ever training session this morning. 100% successful recalls on a line of about 15' both on the beach and in an interesting wooded area. What pleased Dad most was the lead was taut as I was so interested in all the smells but I still came. I even came once without being called just to check up on him!

When is that rain going to stop? I'm waiting for my walkies!

My afternoon with the Field Spaniels

Last Thursday I visited some Field Spaniels. I had a lovely play but better still I investigated their enclosed garden which has its own hidden bog! Dad got really dirty getting me out!

Birthday party.

Yesterday I went to my niece Amelie's birthday party. There were lots of little children and I was a good boy. We went on a boat and drove a long way.

Training

I've just had my assessment and first training session. I'm exhausted. It's witchcraft! I found myself doing everything this bloke asked me to do and all for a tiny bit of cheese!

I've just been to the beach to play and I met another GSP. I was the good boy though!

It was against the council's plans to charge for parking at one of my favourite places which was donated to the community for free. Power to the ...erm... dogs!

Afterwards I went in the sea!

A good walk in the woods this morning and another on the beach this evening. After that we went to the pub so they could eat. Mum had chicken and Dad had gammon steak. It's just not fair!
